Hello and thank you for visiting The
Cinema Gym Acting and Directing for Camera web
I'm a working filmmaker and have
coached actors and directors for UCLA extension and my own
Cinema Gym Workshop for many years.
I'm also a video
editor, writer, producer, and founder of The
Looping Walla Group.
in the entertainment industry is all I've ever done to earn
a living. I
started as an actor and radio personality at the age of
seventeen. I worked as a performer for several years while
continuing to study all the important acting philosophies
(Meisner, Adler, Strasberg, Alexander technique, etc) used by
the American Actor for the past 100 years. Eventually
I expanded my interests and studies to include filmmaking.
I directed my first feature film in the year 2000.
My directing and writing credits include the feature
film ALVAREZ & CRUZ (Slamdunk film festival winner), plus
multiple prize winning short films including GOD'S LITTLE
MOSTER, SELL OUT, STRIP POKER (Tahoe/Reno International
film festival), SNUFFY THE KLOWN, MEAT (Horror Fest),
the interactive mystery web series: YU-SOLVE, and
the documentary HEARTLAND.
FEAR, LOVE, and AGORAPHOBIA is my latest feature film. It was
developed in the Cinema Gym and includes
20 Cinema Gym actors and directors working in front of and
behind the camera.

My goal for the Cinema Gym is to create
the kind of on-camera workshop I wish existed for me as a
young actor. A place to grow, be encouraged and inspired.
